Sunday Sketchin’
For a while I used to try and create a piece of work every Monday, but it became so forced and the work wasn’t to a very high standard all of the time, because it became something I felt I had to do rather than something I wanted to do. So now I’m just drawing when I feel like it.
Here is something I came up with today…
I had drawn the diamond pattern a couple of weeks ago with the intention of filling it in with something, but I never thought of anything. Today I was flipping through my sketchbook and decided to use the pattern. I drew an owl and tried to still make the triangle segments stand out by shading the owl differently in each one and testing out different drawing styles.
The top and bottom triangle are left unused, I don’t know what to do with them! Any suggestions? I thought about throwing some paint into the mix, but I didn’t want to ruin my drawing (cause I’m not very good with paint!)

Very cool wee owl, love the composition its something different :) Possibly trees behind it? But I like the top & bottom triangles empty also :)
